Wedding Celebrant

My Approach
Whether you're after something simple and heartfelt or rich with ritual, I create ceremonies that feel real, relaxed, and authentically you.
With a background in both theatre and yoga, I bring calm presence, deep care, and a joyful energy that helps you feel at ease and truly yourselves. Each ceremony is written from scratch, and I offer pre-wedding grounding sessions so you can slow down and savour the moment.
Independent and inclusive, always.
It’s your love story - I’m just here to help you tell it well.

What is a Celebrant?A celebrant is someone who creates and leads a wedding ceremony that’s completely personal to you - no scripts, no templates, and definitely no one-size-fits-all. As an independent celebrant, I take the time to get to know you both, your story, and what matters most to you. From there, I write a one-of-a-kind ceremony that reflects your vibe, your values, and your vision for the day, whether that includes rituals, religion, zero tradition, or something totally offbeat. With a celebrant, there are no legal restrictions. You can get married anywhere, say anything, and make the moment your own. My role is to hold space, bring heart, and tell your story in a way that feels real, joyful, and completely you.

Celebrant or Registrar, what's the difference?A registrar is an official employee of your local council, while a celebrant is an independent professional who works just for you. With a registrar, you usually don’t get to choose who officiates your wedding. With a celebrant, you pick someone who truly clicks with you and understands your vision. Registrars often have multiple weddings lined up back-to-back, especially during busy seasons. As your celebrant, your ceremony is my one and only focus that day, no rushing, no stress. Registrars follow a fixed legal script, so your ceremony tends to be fairly standard. Celebrants craft a fully personalised ceremony, written just for you and your love story. Registrar-led ceremonies typically last 15–20 minutes. Celebrant ceremonies can be as short or as long as you want, including all the special moments that matter to you. Registrars can only marry you in licensed venues, which can limit your options and often comes with a higher price tag. Celebrants can say your vows anywhere - on a beach, in a forest, your nan's garden, or anywhere your heart desires, no license required. It's important to note: only registrars can legally marry you at licensed venues. If you choose a celebrant-led ceremony for a more personal experience, you’ll still need to make it official with a legal registration at a registry office (which usually costs around £50).
