The Seasonal Pause
A quarterly gathering on Dartmoor.
To walk gently, swim wildly, rest deeply.
An invitation to slow down, disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself, others and the changing seasons.
Life moves quickly yet
the seasons shift gradually.
Four times a year we'll gather on Dartmoor for a day retreat to mark the changing landscape and the changing rhythms within ourselves.
Together we'll walk through ancient woodland and open moorland, breathe fresh air, pause for an optional wild swim, a BYO picnic, and finish the day with restorative Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra in the beautiful studio at Dartmoor Reach.
These events are an invitation to notice and to slow down. To spend a few precious hours without notifications, endless to-do lists or the pressure to always be doing more.
My aim is for you to leave feeling grounded, nourished and deeply connected; to nature, to community and to yourself.
What the day includes
-
A guided walk through beautiful Dartmoor landscapes
-
Optional wild swimming (weather and conditions permitting)
-
Time to pause, picnic and simply be
-
Seasonal reflection and gentle journalling prompts
-
Homemade seasonal treats and drinks
-
Yin Yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra at Dartmoor Reach
-
A small, welcoming group

An invitation to disconnect
Disconnect to reconnect.
One of the greatest luxuries we can give ourselves is uninterrupted attention.
Throughout the gathering, I invite you to leave your phone tucked away so you can fully immerse yourself in the experience. Instead of documenting the moments, we'll practise being present within it.
I'll have my phone with me for emergencies, and a photographer will quietly capture the day so you'll have beautiful memories to look back on afterwards.
No notifications, no scrolling. Just a few hours to notice what really matters.

Weather
These gatherings are designed to embrace the seasons, so we'll happily walk in rain, sunshine, mist and everything in between!
Only in exceptional weather conditions where safety could be compromised will the outdoor plans be altered or postponed.
Wild swimming is always optional and may be cancelled if conditions are unsafe.
Participation
By booking, you confirm that:
-
you are comfortable walking on uneven terrain for several miles
-
you take part in the optional wild swim entirely at your own discretion
-
you are responsible for your own wellbeing throughout the day
-
you will let me know about any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your participation.
My hope is that these gatherings become a community people return to season after season. If something unexpected happens, please get in touch -
I’ll always do my best to find a fair solution where I can.
